CEO & FOUNDER SUZANNE FATTA

Ms. Fatta’s operatic roles and orchestral engagements have taken her around the world, from the Grammy-winning Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Eastman School of Music, to Canada, Italy, Scotland, England, Malta, France, Germany and the Czech Republic. A Contralto, Suzanne sings Bass with the world-famous Vivaldi's Women choir and pioneers the use of low female voices in opera, often taking lead Baritone roles in Baroque operas. An active researcher and author, Suzanne is currently writing about lower women's voices, and teaches voice lessons to female tenors and basses. She served as Alto and Tenor Section Leader with the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, and is a featured singer in the documentary Peter Ackroyd’s Venice for SkyArts TV across Europe. 

Ms. Fatta sings Tenor with Vocalis Chamber Choir, and performs as a soloist with Opera Sacra, Nickel City Opera, Ars Nova, Music Niagara, Camerata di Sant'Antonio, DIVA by DIVA, OperaBuffs of WNY and many groups in Europe. She sits on the Board of Vivaldi’s Women, the Marketing Committee at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and is Co-Chair of the Metropolitan Opera National Council District Auditions in Buffalo/ Toronto. 

Modeling under the name Carmina Suzanne, Ms. Fatta is an internationally published plus model (represented by Agence Plus Paris, Agencia Plus Size in Chile) modeling in NYC, Miami, LA, Paris, London, Venice and locally. She Event Managed the 2011 show Curves in Couture for Models of Diversity in London, writes for Paris-based Volup2 and Alizé La Vie, and works with E’lan NYC as a fit model. She has appeared on some of the top plus catwalks including Pulp’Fashion Week Paris, Runway The Real Way at NYFW, Uptown Fashion Week and more. 

She has modeled for Macy’s, Burberry (as Serena Williams’ fit model), Zizzi, Serita Bell, 710 fashions, Curvy Kate, OnOz, Aux Plaisirs des Rondes, Kibonen NY, Igigi, Franci Jewelry, Simply Natural, Bonny Bridal (British Bridal Exhibition Harrogate), Bill Baber and Beauty Bra; and appeared in Queen Size (2 covers), Rack Plus (cover), Lioness (cover), BeUtiful (cover), PLUS Model, SKORCH, Billie BluntRonde et GlamourCurvy Connect, Curves And The CityPOSE, Surreal Beauty, Model Call, Style-ology, Diva, Just As Beautiful and Psychologies magazines as well as many blogs, e-zines and newspapers, including Italy’s Corriera della Sera. From 2010-11 Ms. Fatta worked as a diversity advocate with Models of Diversity London, fighting for equal rights in the fashion industry as head Personal Assistant to the Co-Founder of the campaign.

An avid actress with many plays and short films to her credit, Ms. Fatta is the Co-Founder of HIDden Theatre, a historical theatre troupe that made their debut at The British Museum. You may recognize her as the Geico Opera Diva; her local and national TV & radio advert for Geico Careers is a WNY favorite. She has experience in all forms of drama, acting and theatre on stage and film, but specializes in historical theatre, especially praised for her work in Medieval drama and the Victorian burlesque style. 

She holds a double Bachelors with Honors in Musicology and Vocal Performance, and Religion, from Oberlin College & Conservatory of Music, and trained at the doctoral level in Historical Performance Practice at the Eastman School of Music and the University of York (UK). In addition, she has a Masters in Medieval Studies from Harvard University, where as a Teaching Fellow she won a university-wide Award of Distinction for a Music Department course on jazz, and held Research, Personal and Editorial Assistantships. She even won a Bok Centre Fellowship for her skill in teaching writing to undergrads. At Oberlin she was a Music History Tutor, and taught the Intro To Fundamentals course at York where she also worked as a dyslexia tutor. Suzanne has given many papers at academic conferences, was a Representative of the Royal Musical Association in London, and has been program director for some academic conferences as well. Locally, Suzanne has taught at Canisius College.

A passionate diversity advocate, Suzanne is an experienced lecturer, public speaker and model mentor, pushing for models of all shapes, sizes, ages, heights, colors and ability levels to be treated fairly in fashion. In London, she worked in PR, Marketing, Event Management and Model Scouting. 

And fulfilling one of her life's dreams in 2001, Suzanne appeared as a contestant on the TV game show Jeopardy!
